Can our pets watch the show?

Pets can be traumatized by the intrusion into their space. Please secure them away from the noise and confusion that is inevitable with parties. This is not just for Miss Sparkles’ safety, but also for your guests.

Can we shoot pictures or video during the show?

There will be lots of photo opportunities during the show! Ask your guests to bring their cameras, as you can’t be hosting the party and easily snapping those precious moments. If you want to post the photographs on Sparkles’ website or Facebook page, please ask permission of the parents first.

What do we need to do to prepare for the show?

Please have the performance area well lit. Also, don’t place Miss Sparkles in front of a window as the audience will be looking into bright light and Miss Sparkles will be silhouetted. (Disregard this, of course, if you have drapes, shutters or blinds that will block the light!) Please also make sure there is adequate space for Miss Sparkles to move around. An ideal space for Miss Sparkles is about 10 feet by 20 feet. For indoor shows at your home, please move any tables or furniture that might interfere with the show. Also, please secure any fragile and delicate items – Miss Sparkles is not responsible if something gets broken by accident.

Should everyone watch the show?

Of course! Miss Sparkles’ show entertains children of all ages – yes adults, we know you are kids at heart! That said, Miss Sparkles would like to have your undivided attention. Please turn off TVs and music, as well as shut off the bounce house, if you have one. Adults, if you need to have conversations, please take these to another room or outside.

Can our guests eat during the show?

Miss Sparkles’ show is highly interactive, and involves lots of fun and silliness. Miss Sparkles would feel terrible if food or drink gets spilled – therefore, please make sure your guests eat and drink before or after the performance. It can be difficult to clap and cheer with your hands full!

Parking & Setup – Can We Help?

YES! Please reserve a parking space close by so Sparkles won’t have to transport all her equipment very far. Assistance unloading and loading is always appreciated!

Do you require a deposit to book a performance?

A deposit is required to hold your reservation. Sparkles will determine how much the deposit will be when you book the event. Please go to the “Contact Sparkles” page of this website for the address and other specifics.

Please note that your deposit is not refundable because Sparkles has held your date for you and turned away business. If you cancel the event 14 days or fewer before the date, the entire amount of the deposit is forfeited. If there is a cancellation 15 days or more before the event, the deposit will be applied to a future event. Extenuating circumstances will be considered on an individual basis.

The balance is due on the day of your event in cash, check or money order made payable to Sparkles Delight the Clown.

What forms of payment does Miss Sparkles accept?

You can pay by cash, check, or money order, made payable to Sparkles Delight The Clown. Please be advised: Returned checks will be charged a minimum fee of $35 or what California state law allows. Future performances may require cash or money order.

What if I need to cancel my event?

Miss Sparkles respects that life happens, and things change. However, out of respect for Miss Sparkles’ time, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Cancellations Less than 14 days before the event: Miss Sparkles has likely turned away other event requests, because she had your spot saved for you. Since she may not be able book this time elsewhere, the full deposit will be forfeited. Extenuating circumstances will be addressed on a case by case basis.
  • Cancellations More than 14 days before the event: Your deposit can be applied toward a future show, but cannot be refunded. You are welcome to book a future date with Miss Sparkles.

What are your fees?

Charges for a birthday party are determined by the destination. What Sparkles offers may differ depending on the number of attendees.

There is a 2-hour minimum in: Antioch, Banta, Brentwood, Byron, Discovery Bay, Dublin, Escalon, Livermore, Lodi, Manteca, Modesto, Mountain House, Oakley, Patterson, Pleasanton, Ripon, Salida, Stockton and Tracy. These locations are in the $275 to $325 range for the two hours.

There is 2.5-hour minimum at the following locations: Alameda, Berkeley, Elk Grove, Fremont, Hayward, Martinez, Oakland, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Jose, San Leandro, San Mateo County, Santa Clara County, etc.  Rates vary.

Corporate Events, Grand Openings, School Events, Church Activities, Library Shows, Company Picnics, Holiday Parties, etc., are calculated differently by number of attendees, location, number of hours and specific dates.
